Terms of use · revised 2026-08-31
A support tool, with the limits stated up front.
These are the same terms shown inside the workbook. The disclaimer is not boilerplate; it is the most important paragraph on the page.
Not medical advice
Sobriety Helper is a support tool, not a substitute for medical or mental-health treatment. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice, psychiatric diagnosis, or clinical treatment. The Recovery companion, the guides, and the tools are for information and self-reflection only. Consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical, psychiatric, or addiction-treatment decisions — including, specifically, before stopping alcohol or benzodiazepines abruptly, which can be medically dangerous.
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. For a crisis, call 988 or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Using the workbook
Sobriety Helper is provided as a personal recovery support tool. By using it you agree to use it for lawful purposes and to take responsibility for the content you create in it.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account or password with others. The app never shares workbook material automatically; when you deliberately copy, download, or use the Nightly Review share sheet, the destination and custody become your choice.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you disagree with a change, you may delete your account from the Data & privacy screen, and the privacy policy describes exactly what that removes.
Not affiliated
Sobriety Helper is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a part of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or any treatment provider. Page references to their literature are given so you can read the source yourself.
